Founded in 1936, the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists (FANA) represents 3,500 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) licensed in Florida. FANA advocates for our patients and members in legislative and governmental affairs and serves as a resource for CRNAs, the nursing and medical professions, hospitals, health care facilities and others interested in anesthesia care.
CRNAs provide comprehensive anesthesia care to patients before, during and after surgical and obstetrical procedures and are the primary anesthesia professionals in rural and medically underserved areas. CRNAs practice in every setting in which anesthesia is administered including traditional hospital surgical and obstetrical suites, interventional pain management, critical access hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers. CRNAs also practice in the offices of dentists, ophthalmologists and plastic surgeons.
FANA Mission and Vision Statements
The mission of the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists is to advance the practice of nurse anesthesia, patient safety and professional advocacy.
The indispensable resource for nurse anesthetists for accurate information, advocacy and education for members throughout Florida.
Make a Donation to the FANA PAC
When an interest group, union, or corporation wants to contribute to federal candidates or parties, it must do so through a Political Action Committee (PAC). PACs and individuals are the only entities allowed to contribute funds to candidates. FANA has established the FANA PAC to strengthen our profession’s voice in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C. Funded by voluntary contributions, the FANA PAC makes contributions to CRNA-friendly candidates and to legislators particularly influential on healthcare issues important to CRNAs and our patients. Neither a Republican nor a Democratic PAC, the FANA PAC focuses solely on advancing the interests of nurse anesthesia in Florida.
If you are interested in making a contribution to the PAC, you may do so via our secure member portal. Please click here to login and make a contribution.
